We're OK

We went to the doctor today for my one week check-up. I've gained 7 oz. making me 7 lbs. 14 oz. They determined that I am 21" long instead of the under reported 19 1/2" of a week ago. I am doing really well and the doctors think I'm clever because I'm learning the ropes on how to get more milk whenever I want. However the doc gave me up on that, now I will only get milk according to the spreadsheet that mom originally had in place. Rats...
Mom also had an appointment today and she is doing well too. Yea, I need her!

Fun Weekend

Boy did we have fun this weekend! Well I had a good time anyway. My folks are working night and day trying to keep up with me. Mom's got a spreadsheet with the schedule for everything that needs to be done and I'm doing my best to keep'em hopping. You know the routine. Sleep, change nappie, cry, eat. My way, 24/7. I had Nana and Pop pitching in too, cooking, cleaning, staying up late and changing me. Oh boy, what fun!

Tomorrow we go to the doctor for a check up. It's just a follow up to make sure me and mom are doing ok.

Home Sweet Home

We're home, and what a time we had getting here. It has rained all day. So, we got ready this morning, dad got back from ATL and we were getting ready to go to the car. STOP. I'm hungry now! Knowing we were going on our first road trip together I thought it best to eat first, and of course we all know what comes next. I feel much better now.

We've got a great place and I think I'm going to like it here. It has been an ok day. I, we, are getting use to doing all these things together. My folks are catching on pretty quick. Nana has been around to assist with various duties and it's been good to have her here with us. I overheard them discussing the shift work for taking care of me tonight. Last night I kept Mom and Nana up to 5:00am or so. Hopefully I'll sleep better in my own bed tonight. I got these pics back, from the other day. My first kiss. So sweet.

We Are Family

We got up this morning to a crowd of people just all up in our business. They were poking, proding and checking us out. I ended up getting a hearing test and passed with flying colors. Then the hospital photographers were in wanting us to pose and smile. It was just to early for all of that. I got a little uptite. Didn't last long though.
As it turned out I was hungry. Had to get a little formula (10ml) to tide me over till mom's milk gets here in the next day or so.
I got one on ol' dad today. He was warned early on to cover me front stuff when changing my nappie. Squirt, squirt, squirt and more squirt. So that fleece he was wearing, has to be washed now. Lesson learned.
We are all doing well as you can see. Nana is spending the night with mom and me tonight. Dad has to go to Atlanta in the morning. I hear we are going home tommorow. I can't wait to see my new room. I'll let you know how this all works out later.

It's Tuesday, I'm just over 24 hours old. What a day!

What a day I've had! I kept my parents up past midnight last night. They finally thought they would catch some winks and off to the nursery I went. It wasn't so bad, till I got hungry. I've been eatin about every two hours or so. I'm getting the hang of this feeding thing I've heard so much about. I like it! I lost a little weight overnight, about 4 ounces. The doctors aren't worried, it's normal. Today I've slept quite abit. Yesterday I stayed awake for at least three hours after I was born just looking around trying to get my bearings, listening, getting use to the light and people.

I went down to surgery today and got the C word to my privates. Not fun... Got to keep that area clean for the next week.

Mom is so nice to me, it's like I've known her my whole life. She is doing quite well and has been able to get up and walk around today. The nurses were suprised by that, but said it was good that she could. Dad changed me nappies a few times today. All in all a good day for us. I've got some more pictures for you, enjoy.

I'm Here!

I took my first breath of air at 1:02pm.
Wow, that felt good. Mom is doing fine, she's in recovery right now. Dad is tending to me in the nursery as you can see from the pictures. I weighed in at 8lbs. 2 oz. and 19 1/2" long. I had a bath, didn't care for that to much. It was good to see Dad after some 273 days of just hearing his voice. They've just informed me Mom is doing well and we will be going to room 332. Trying to adjust to getting my nourishment in a completely different way than I'm use to. I'll let you know how I'm getting along as soon as I can.

I'm taking a look outside the nursery at Nana, Pop, Becky and Freddie.

I'm a good looking boy, even if I must say so myself.

Mom is doing great. She's feeding me and uhmm uhmm it's so good. The nurses came in to show these guys how to swaddle properly. That's better.

I'm not doing that much crying. Everyone thinks I'm so good, hehehe. Just wait till we get home.
