Calum had his 4 month appointment on Thursday, and he has grown by leaps and bounds! He weighs 17 lbs and measures 25 1/4 inches long! Dr. Goza said it is time for him to try some rice cereal as he has doubled his birth weight, can sit supported, and has good head control. Today was our first day in the high chair! He had his first bite of rice cereal and, needless to say, he was not a fan! I can't blame him- it smells terrible! He was not quite sure what to do with it and spit it all out! When I tried this afternoon, I put it on my finger instead of a spoon. That worked a bit better, but still not his favorite by any means! We are going to try to mix it with applesauce tomorrow to see if that helps! Either way, with his weight, we don't think he will starve- ha ha! Wish us luck! The pictures are a bit blurry because he was not sitting still for the process! Sorry!

Cereal Anyone?

I just love the pictures when kids first try solid food! They crack me up. :-) Yep, I don't blame him either. The cereal doesn't smell good. I mixed the big kids cereal with fruit everytime. That made it easier to swallow. Get ready for big messes now!!
Wow, that's quite a face! Luke didn't really cry over the cereal, he just didn't really like it. We stopped and waited until he was 5 months to try again. We made the cereal a little thicker and between the two, he finally got on board! Clearly from the pictures of him, he took to solid foods and has never looked back!!
Hope all is well in Georgia! I miss you!
Love ya!
